THE Community Orchestra of Manatee and Sarasota Counties!

The POPS began as an outreach program, with rehearsal space provided by the local Salvation Army, and has always sought to make good music and share it with others. Our Orchestra continues as a diverse and talented group of performers ranging in age from 17 to 96 delighting audiences young and old in Southwest Florida!

The Butler/Valentine Duo!

JEROME BUTLER is currently working on a joint project withworld renown composer Paul Ramsier to bring better assessability to his works by transcribing a majority of his solo pieces for Double Basses into orchestral tuning and producing a recording to reflect this advantageous angle.

On January of 2009, Jerome Butler premiered Paul Ramsier's Three Lyric Pieces at Merkin Hall, Lincoln Center to a successful reception including Linda McKnight!
