He is currently principle Double Bassist with the Sarasota Pops Orchestra, the North Port Orchestra and the Bachanalia Festival Chamber Orchestra under the direction of it's Artistic Director and Founder Nina Beilina.
Jerome Butler is currently working on a joint project with renowned composer for the Double Bass, Paul Ramsier. The works of Paul Ramsier are well known in the Double Basscommunity as well as the general populace of the music world. We are in hopes that this recording will broaden the spectrum of double bass music that is written in solo tuning (pieces that are written a whole step higher than standard
tuning to produce a brighter and crisper sound to music on this type of instrument) can easily be enjoyed by musicians that prefer to have their instrument tuned to standard orchestra tuning. We hope that you will enjoy both the recording and the beautiful music written by such a renowned
composer. This past January, Jerome reunited with the Bachanalia Festival Chamber Orchestra in a New York premiere of Ramsier's Three Lyric Pieces.
